Beer vs. Wine Dinner

We collaborated with Breaux Vineyards on our Brewhouse Rarities Vineyard Blonde, a Belgian ale brewed with Vidal Blanc young wine. Now, our beers and their wines are going head-to-head in a beer vs. wine dinner at The Wine Kitchen on the Creek. 

Here’s a look at the menu:

Amuse Bouche: Scallop “BLT”

  • Diver scallop, house-cured bacon, arugula, orange-tomato jam
  • Paired with Doggie Style Pale Ale vs. Jennifer’s Jambalaya¬†

First Course: Chesapeake Oyster Duo

  • Raw and fried oyster, grapefruit gel
  • UnderDog Atlantic Lager vs. Jolie Blonde Seyval Blanc

Second Course: Pork Dumplings

  • Sesame, pineapple, WK BBQ sauce
  • Brewhouse Rarities Vineyard Blonde vs. Chere Marie Vidal Blanc

Third Course: Seared Duck Breast

  • Nutella powder, foie gras, waffle, cherry glaze
  • Gonzo Imperial Porter vs. Meritage

Fourth Course: Molasses-Smoked Venison

  • Potato pave, charred fennel
  • Kujo Imperial Coffee Stout vs. Nebbiolo

Dessert: Orange Float

  • WK orange soda, vanilla poppy seed ice cream
  • In-Heat Wheat Hefeweizen vs. Soleil Late Harvest¬†
